Verizon Cloud - Desktop App - Recover Files

Here's how to restore files using Backtrack File Restore tool via the Verizon Cloud desktop app.
Backtrack is a tool that lets you restore all your files from a specific day in the past 30 days. It protects your files so they can be:
  • Recovered after a virus, ransomware, or other malware attack that infected or deleted your files.
  • Restored if they accidentally got corrupted or lost.
  • Accessed to get a historical version of your files.
  • Before performing the steps below, ensure Verizon Cloud Desktop app has been set up.
  • Only the Verizon Cloud Unlimited storage plans support restoring content via Backtrack File Restore.
To review or upgrade your Verizon Cloud storage option, refer to View Storage Meter / Upgrade Memory.
  • Backtrack File Restore replaces the existing data by restoring the version that existed at the end of the selected date.
To preserve files that may be deleted during the backtrack (e.g., backed up after the date being selected, etc.), refer to Download Media.
  • Backtrack File Restore can't:
    • Recover permanently deleted files or versions (e.g., files emptied from Trash, etc.).
    • Be initiated from the website or the mobile app.
    • Recover file versions beyond 30 days.
