OnePlus 8 5G UW - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your OnePlus 8 5G UW.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. Ensure a 5G SIM is inserted in the device prior to powering on.
    To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert a 4G SIM card.
    5G devices purchased from Verizon include a pre-installed 5G SIM card.

  2. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the OnePlus logo appears then release.

  3. Select the appropriate language then tap
    Start
    .
    Select a language
  4. Review the Terms and Conditions then select any of the switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off and tap

  5. From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap
    NEXT
    .
    If prompted, enter your Verizon account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts. (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  6. Select a network then enter the password.

    Skip
     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  7. From the 'Copy apps and data' screen, tap
    Next
    .

    Don't copy
     if you'd like a fresh start.
    If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.
  8. Sign in to your existing Google™ then tap 'Next' or 'Create account'.

     to add your Google account after setup is complete.

  9. From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap

  10. From the 'How to use fingerprint' screen, tap
    NEXT
    then follow one screen prompts.

     to add a fingerprint after setup is complete.

  11. From the 'Set screen lock' screen, select an option then tap
    NEXT

     to add a screen lock or set up face recognition after setup is complete.

  12. From the 'Verizon Services' screen, select any of the switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap
    ACCEPT

  13. From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tap
    NEXT

     to set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.
