Activate Netflix & Max (With Ads) Perk - My Verizon app

Here's how to activate and access your Netflix and Max plan perk via the My Verizon app.
  • Before completing the steps below, ensure:
    • the Netflix® & Max (With Ads) perk has been added to your account.
    • your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
      If you're not able to access the My Verizon app, you can also visit the My Verizon website to manage your account.
  • The Netflix & Max (With Ads) perk is only available to lines with Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Welcome and Welcome Unlimited.
    To change to a qualifying plan, refer to My Verizon App - Manage Plan.
    Welcome Unlimited is no longer available.
    To subscribe to Netflix or Max separately or without a qualifying Unlimited plan, refer to Manage +play Subscriptions - My Verizon Website.

Activate Netflix

  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
     .
  2. Tap the
    Account tab
     (at the bottom).
    If prompted, enter your password, fingerprint or Face ID.
  3. Tap
    Services & perks
    .
  4. From the 'Manage Services & Perks' section, tap
    Netflix & Max (With Ads)
    .
    If necessary, tap
    See All
     then tap
    Set up
     next to the Netflix & Max (With Ads) perk.
  5. From the 'You've added Netflix & Max...' message, tap
    Continue
    .
  6. From the 'Netflix' section, tap
    Register
    .
    Registration may take up to 15 minutes to update.
  7. Tap
    Get started
     then do one of the following:
    • If you don't already have a Netflix account:
      1. Enter the preferred email address then tap
        Next
        .
      2. Enter a password to watch Netflix then tap
        Next
        .
      3. From the 'Now chose your Netflix plan' screen, select a plan option (e.g., Premium, Standard, Standard with ads, etc.) then tap
        Continue with selection
        .
        Selected when checkmark appears.
      4. Review the 'Confirm your details' screen then tap
        Accept
        .
      5. Follow the prompts for any additional Netflix details (e.g., backup payment, password recovery, etc.).
    • If you're already a Netflix member:
      1. Enter the email associated with your Netflix account then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. Review the 'Your Verizon perk includes our Standard with Ads plan.' message then tap
        Yes, Start Watching
         to accept the suggestion based on your existing subscription or tap
        Show Other Plans
         and do the following:
        • From the 'Now chose your Netflix plan' screen, select a plan option then tap
          Continue with selection
          .
          Selected when checkmark appears.
        • Review the 'Confirm your details' screen then tap
          Accept & Watch Now
          .

Activate Max (With Ads)

  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
     .
  2. Tap the
    Account tab
     (at the bottom).
    If prompted, enter your password, fingerprint or Face ID.
  3. Tap
    Services & perks
    .
  4. From the 'Manage Services & Perks' section, tap
    Netflix & Max (With Ads)
    .
    If necessary, tap
    See All
     then tap
    Setup
     next to the Netflix & Max (With Ads) perk.
  5. From the 'You've added Netflix & Max...' message, tap
    Continue
    .
  6. From the 'Max' section, tap
    Register
    .
  7. If prompted, tap
    Get started
    .
  8. From the 'Create Your Account' screen, enter the following details then tap
    Create Account
    .
    • Email Address
    • Confirm Email Address
    • Password
    • First Name
    • Last Name
  9. Do one of the following:
    • If no existing account was found, review the 'You're All Set' screen then tap
      Start Streaming
      .
    • If an existing MAX or HBO Max account was found:
      1. Tap
        Verify Email
        .
      2. Enter the one-time code sent to the email address associated with your Max account then tap
        Submit
        .
      3. Review the 'Ready to Connect Your Account' message then tap
        Confirm
        .
      4. Review the 'You're All Set' screen then tap
        Start Streaming
