Samsung Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic - Replace Existing Device

Here's how to activate your Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic If you've recently replaced your watch or have reset the network settings.
  • The steps below only apply when a Samsung smartwatch has been replaced.
    If this Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic is the first device to share this number and has never been active with Verizon service, refer to Activate / Set Up Device.
    If you're pairing an existing Samsung smartwatch with a new Android™ smartphone refer to Connect to New Phone.
  • The Galaxy Watch can be set up via Number Share.
    To set up with Number Share, the companion smartphone must be activated on the same Verizon account as the Galaxy Watch4.
  • Before completing the steps below, verify:
  1. Ensure the replacement watch is charged and powered on.
    If necessary, tap the watch display to begin.
  2. Open the
    Galaxy Wearable app
     on the companion Android smartphone.
  3. If possible, back up the data on your original watch.
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-left).
  5. Tap
    Add new device
    .
    If prompted, tap
    Add
     to confirm.
  6. From the 'Pick your device' screen, tap 'Galaxy Watch4' or 'Galaxy Watch4 Classic'.
    If prompted, tap
    Allow
     to approve the necessary permissions.
  7. Ensure the passkey matches what's displayed on the watch then tap 'Pair' or 'Confirm' on the smartphone and the
    Checkmark icon
     on the Galaxy Watch4.
    Allow a few minutes for pairing to complete.
  8. If using a non-Samsung Android smartphone to complete setup, tap
    OK
     then tap
    Install
     to allow the Galaxy Watch Plugin to install then return to the Galaxy Wearable app.
  9. If prompted, tap
    Sign in
     to complete the Samsung account setup.
    If you choose 'Skip', you can add a Samsung account after setup is complete.
  10. To continue, review the 'Samsung Terms and Conditions' and 'Samsung Privacy Notice' then tap
    Agree
    .
  11. If prompted, tap
    OK
     to link Galaxy Watch4 PlugIn with the watch.
  12. If prompted, tap
    Allow
     to grant the Galaxy Watch4 Plugin access to call, media, etc.
  13. To continue, review (check) the Google Terms and conditions for each option then tap
    Continue
    .
    You can agree to all or some of the services; however, accepting all the services improves your experience on the Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic.

  14. If prompted to link your Google™ account, confirm the account is displayed then tap

  15. If prompted to Copy to your Google Account to your watch, tap

  16. Enter you Google account password then tap
    SIGN IN

  17. If prompted to add Mobile service to your watch, perform one of the following:
    • Tap
      Skip

      Next
       then follow on the on-screen instructions.
