moto g power - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your moto g power.

To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

Depending on the options selected, some steps may appear in a different order.

If powered off, press and hold the

Power button

until the moto logo appears then release.

Select the appropriate language then tap

START

If presented with the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap

If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).

If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

From the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.

to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

If you'd like to restore your info from an old device, tap

then follow the on-screen options.

If you'd like a fresh start, tap

If troubleshooting, choose this option and don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

to add your Google account after setup is complete.

From the 'Welcome' screen, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap

From the 'Google services' screen, tap any of the switches to turn on Switch on

then tap

From the 'Set screen lock' screen, enter lock code then tap

If desired, tap

Screen lock options

to select alternate screen lock options (e.g., Pattern, Password, etc.).

to set up a screen lock after setup is complete.

From the 'Google Assistant' screen, tap

From the 'Voice Match' screen, tap

I agree

to set up Voice Match.

Tap

to bypass this step.

From the 'Anything else?' screen, tap an option or tap

No thanks

to skip.

From the 'Verizon Services' screen, tap any of the switches to turn on Switch on

or off

then tap

From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, review the Terms and Conditions then tap

to set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.

From the 'Digital Secure' screen, review the Terms & Conditions then tap

to enable security settings after setup is complete.

From the 'Privacy & software updates' screen, tap any of the switches to turn on Switch on
