Samsung Galaxy A01 - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly activate and set up your Galaxy A01.
To activate you device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the Samsung Galaxy screen appears then release.
  2. Select the appropriate language then tap the
    Start
    .

  3. To continue, review the 'Terms and Conditions' screen then tap

    .
  4. From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap
    Next
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off

  5. From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.

     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  6. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select the preferred option:
    • Next
    • Don't copy
      If troubleshooting, choose this option and don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.
  7. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.

     to add your Google account after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the following to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon then tap
    Accept
     :
    • Use location
    • Allow scanning
    • Send usage and diagnostic data

  9. From the 'Protect your phone' screen, tap an option.

     to add a screen lock or set up face recognition after setup is complete.

  10. From the 'Verizon Services' screen, turn the following on or off then tap
    Accept
    :
    • Location info
    • Apps info

  11. 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tap
    Agree
    .

    Skip
     to set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.

  12. From the 'Digital Secure' screen, tap
    Accept

     to change permissions after setup is complete.

  13. From the 'Sign in to your Samsung account' screen, sign in to your existing account or create a new Samsung account.
