Samsung Galaxy S10 - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your Galaxy S10e / Galaxy S10 / Galaxy S10+.

If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

Press and hold the

Power button

until the Samsung Galaxy S10 screen appears then release.

Select the appropriate language then tap the

Start

Review the 'Terms and conditions' and 'Privacy Policy' then tap

Ensure the correct mobile number is displayed then tap

If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).

If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

Select a network then enter the password.

to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

From the 'Copy app & data' screen, tap the desired option:

If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

to turn the desired Google Services option(s) on Switch on icon

From the 'Protect your phone' screen, tap the desired protection option.

From the 'Verizon Services' screen, tap the

to turn the desired Verizon Services option(s) on or off then tap

From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, review the info then tap

From the 'Digital Secure' screen, tap

From the 'Sign in to your Samsung account' screen, sign in to your existing account or create a new Samsung account.
