Apple iPhone - Join Verizon using eSIM

Here's info on how to join Verizon with your eSIM on your dual SIM capable iPhone.
  • The steps below apply to the following Apple® iPhone® models:
    • iPhone XS / XS Max and newer models
    • iPhone SE (3rd Gen)
  • Only unlocked devices are eligible for eSIM activation with Verizon.
    iPhones purchased directly from Apple are always unlocked.
  • For info on your carrier's device lock policy refer to one of the following:
    If your carrier is not listed, visit your carrier's support website for more info.
If you're having issues activating your new line, contact Consumer Sales.
  1. Install the My Verizon app from the App Store®.
  2. Tap
    Join Verizon
    .
  3. From the 'Pick how you'd like join Verizon' screen, select the appropriate option then tap
    Continue
    .
    If you receive a message that says 'Sorry, your device isn't eligible to join using eSIM', contact your carrier to verify if your device is locked.
  4. From the 'Let's choose a plan' screen, view and choose a plan, then tap
    Select
     at the bottom of the screen.
    Swipe left or right on the screen to view additional plan options.
  5. From the 'Ready to Join Verizon' screen, review the info and then tap
    Continue
    .
    An eSIM number is provided by default
    To edit the SIM card on your device do the following:
    • Tap
      Edit
       to the right of the eSIM section.
    • Pick what type of SIM to use with your iPhone then tap
      Continue
      .
  6. From the 'Tell us about yourself' screen, enter the following info then tap
    Continue
    :
    • First and Last Name
    • Email
    • Alternate contact number
    • Primary address
  7. From the 'We need a bit more information' screen enter the following info, then tap
    Continue
    :
    To continue, you must select that you authorize Verizon to obtain your credit information and confirm your identity by tapping the box.
    • Date of Birth
    • Social Security Number
    • Choose account PIN
  8. From the 'Enter payment information' screen, enter your card information then tap
    Continue
    .
  9. From the 'Transfer or get a new number' screen, choose one of the following then tap
    Continue
    :
    • Transfer number from another carrier
      1. Enter current carrier account information.
      2. Tap
        Continue
        .
    • Get a new number
      1. Enter Zip code.
      2. Use the dropdown box to select the first 6 digits of your new number.
      3. If applicable, check the box that reads 'Enroll me in paper-free billing.'
      4. Tap
        Continue
        .
  10. From the 'Review pricing and agreements' screen, tap
    Review agreements
    .
  11. Review the 'Verizon Wireless Customer Agreement' screen then tap
    Agree and continue
    .
  12. From the 'Complete your order' screen, confirm all information is correct then tap
    Place order and activate
    .
  13. After the order is processed, from the 'Now let's activate your device' screen, tap
    Activate your device
     to continue.
  14. From the 'Install Cellular Plan' screen tap
    Continue
    .
  15. From the 'Add Cellular Plan' screen tap
    Add Cellular Plan
    .
    Allow several minutes for the activation to complete.
    If activating your device on Dual SIM with eSIM, refer to Add Cellular Plan and continue from step 3.
  16. From the 'Order confirmation' screen, tap
    Next
    .
  17. On the screen where your order number is displayed, tap
    Continue
     to create your My Verizon account.
    Continue to follow the prompts until the My Verizon app registration is completed.
