KYOCERA DuraForce PRO 2 - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your DuraForce PRO 2.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.
To avoid potential issues, only use the pre-installed SIM card included with your DuraForce PRO 2.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the Kyocera screen appears then release.

  2. Select a language from the dropdown menu then tap
    START
    .

  3. On the 'Phone Activation' screen, confirm the device is activated then tap
    NEXT
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs.
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  4. From the 'Set Up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network and enter the password or tap
    NEXT
    .
    If you choose 'NEXT', you can add a Wi-Fi network after setup is complete.

  5. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select one of the following:
    • Next
    • Don't copy
      If selected, skip to step 7.
      If troubleshooting, choose this option and don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

  6. From the 'Bring your data from...' screen, choose an option then follow the onscreen instructions:
    • A backup from an Android phone
    • A backup from the cloud
  7. From the 'Sign in' screen, enter aGoogle™ email address then tap

    If you choose 'Skip', you can add a Google Account after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Google Services' screen, select the desired options then tap

    Services are enabled when the switch is in the blue position.

  9. From the 'Set up your fingerprint' screen, tap
    Next
     then follow the on-screen instructions, or tap
    Cancel
     to skip.
    If you choose 'Cancel', you can add a fingerprint after setup is complete.

  10. From the 'Check out what's trending' screen, tap
    Next

  11. From the 'Your Google Assistant' screen, tap
    I Agree
     to set up Voice Match.

    Skip
     to set up later.

  12. From the 'Anything else' screen, tap an option or tap
    No thanks
     to skip.
    If you choose 'No thanks', you can add a personal email after setup is complete.

  13. From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tap
    AGREE
    to set up Verizon Cloud or tap
    SKIP
    NOT NOW
    to skip Cloud setup.
    If you choose 'SKIP', you can set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.

    ACCEPT
     or
    SKIP
     to continue.
