Verizon 5G Home - How to Test Internet Speed on My Verizon App

Here's how to test the Verizon 5G Home internet upload and download speeds via the My Verizon app.
5G Home Internet service is currently offered in specific areas; click here to check for 5G coverage availability.
  • At times, Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband may fall back to 4G LTE speeds.
  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
    If you're not able to access the My Verizon app, you can also visit the My Verizon website to manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).
  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
     My Verizon App icon.
  2. Tap the
    Account tab
     (at the bottom).
    If prompted, enter your password, fingerprint or Face ID.
  3. If necessary, tap the 'Home' or '5G Home' tab (at the top).
    Depending on your account services, the tabs displayed may vary.
  4. Tap
    Manage 5G Home
    .
  5. Tap
    Network settings
    .
  6. From the 'Manage' section, tap
    Test network speed
    .
  7. Tap
    Start Test
     (lower-right).
    You must be connected to your 5G Home Wi-Fi network to run a speed test.
    5G Ultra Wideband speeds range from 300 Mbps up to 1 Gbps.
  8. View the results then tap
    Done
    .
