Verizon Smart Family - Set Purchase Limits

Here's how to set purchase limits on a child device using the Smart Family parent app on your smartphone or tablet.
To perform the steps below, you need to:
  • ensure the Smart Family™ app is installed on the parent device.
  • sign in to the app using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
  • ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing limits.
  1. From the Smart Family™ parent app, tap the
    Family Profiles tab
     (bottom menu).
  2. Choose the profile of the family member you wish to view.
  3. From the Parental Controls section, tap
    Restrict usage

  4. Tap
    Purchase limits
    .
  5. Enter the purchase limit in dollars (e.g., 50).
    Once the limit is reached, purchases billed to Verizon are restricted until the next billing cycle.
    Purchase limits must be less than $100 and apply to Verizon Wireless purchases only.
    At this time, free text alerts aren't sent for purchase limits.
