Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) - Link / Unlink Contacts

Here's how to link or unlink contacts if you have duplicates or missing contacts on your Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016).
The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error it can be separated back into individual contacts.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps Apps icon
    Contacts Contacts icon.
  2. Tap a contact to link.
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (located in the upper right).
    For Prepaid device, tap
    More
    .
  4. Adjust as desired by doing the following:
    • To link to another contact:
      1. Tap
        Link contacts
        .
      2. Select the contact to link to from your contact list.
      3. Tap
        Link
        (upper-right).
    • To unlink:
      1. Tap
        Manage linked contacts
        .
      2. Tap the
        Minus symbol (-)
        next to the contact to unlink.
