Welcome to Verizon Edge - Customer Overview (3:05)
Hello, and welcome to Verizon Edge!
Now that you've signed up for Verizon Edge, we want to make sure that you have a good understanding of the multiple benefits and value that you're getting with Edge.
Your Verizon Edge Installment Agreement is a device payment program that spreads the full price of your device into monthly installments over an agreed period of time between you and Verizon Wireless.
So a phone that retails for $599.99 stretched out over a 24 month Edge payment plan would be around $24.99 a month.
In the past, committing to a 2-year service Contract in exchange for a discounted phone was the norm.
But with Edge, you're not locked into a 2-year service contract, which means there are no early termination fees.
There are several ways it's saving you money too.
First, you have no activation fees with Edge.
There are also no finance charges associated with paying for your device in monthly installments.
Best of all, you're even getting a MORE Everything credit of up to $25 directly off your monthly line access charge for any smartphone line on a MORE Everything plan with 6 GB of data or higher with an active Edge agreement!
Let's look at the following example to see how it works:
Suppose you got a Smartphone on a 6 GB or higher plan with a 2-year service contract. You would pay $40 in line access fees each month of your contract. Over that 2 year period, that adds up to $960 in line access fees.
When you purchase your smartphone with Verizon Edge, you'll save $25 off your monthly line access charge. That means you'll now only pay $15 a month for your line access. That's a savings of $600 over the course of 2 years over the line access fees you'd pay if you were on a 2-year service contract!!
Another great advantage is that Verizon Edge gives you the flexibility to upgrade your device more often than every 2 years.
Unlike being constricted to a specified period with a service contract, you can upgrade to a new device whenever you want, once your old device is paid off. No money down for qualified customers. No activation fees. And no settling for less. Plus, if you use our Device Trade- in program, you'll save even more when you trade-in your old device in good, working condition!
Here are a few other things that are good to know about Verizon Edge:
- Returns or exchanges of a device need to be made within 14 days.
- It's always a good idea to have an equipment protection plan to protect your investment.
- You are personally responsible for the Edge installment payments even if the phone is lost, damaged or given away.
- Lines with an active Edge agreement can not be transferred to another individual.
Thanks again for your Edge Purchase.
