Apple iPad - Turn iMessage On / Off

Here's how to turn iMessages on or off for your iPad.
If you can't turn on or sign in to iMessage, it may take up to 24 hours to activate on your device. For additional info, visit the Apple Support page.
  1. From a Home screen on your Apple® iPad®, navigate:

    Messages Messages icon
    .
  2. Tap the
    iMessage switch
     to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
iMessage® is an Apple messaging service that allows unlimited text messages between Apple devices with iOS 5 or greater.
