KYOCERA DuraForce PRO 3 - Restart in Safe Mode

Here's how to restart your DuraForce PRO 3 into Safe Mode to help determine if an app is causing it to freeze, reset or run slowly.

Safe Mode puts your phone in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slowly.

An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

Press and hold the

Power button

(on the right edge) until the 'options' menu appears on the screen then release.

Touch and hold

Power off

until the 'Restart in safe mode' prompt appears then release.

From the 'Restart in Safe Mode' prompt, tap

to confirm.

Allow approximately 1 minute for the process to complete.

Upon restart, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.

With Safe Mode enabled, ensure Airplane Mode is turned off then test device and app functionality.
