TCL 40 XE 5G - Manage Data Usage

Here's how to change the data usage cycle and set data warnings and/or limits on your TCL 40 XE 5G.
To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.
  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.
  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    .
  3. Tap
    Data usage
     then do any of the following:
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent on a data connection (e.g., browser, email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
      1. Tap
        Billing cycle
        .
      2. Tap
        Set data limit
         to turn on .
      3. Review the prompt, then tap
        OK
        .
      4. Tap
        Data limit
        .
      5. Enter the preferred data limit (e.g., 2.0GB) then tap
        SET
        .
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.
      1. Tap
        Billing cycle
        .
      2. Tap
        Alert me
         to turn on .
      3. Review the prompt, then tap
        OK
        .
      4. Tap
        Data warning
        .
      5. Enter the preferred data amount (e.g., 2.0 GB) then tap
        SET
        .
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap
        Billing cycle
        .
      2. From the 'Usage cycle reset date' prompt, select the cycle date then tap
        SET
        .
        Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
