ORBIC JOY - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your ORBIC JOY.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. Ensure a SIM card is inserted into your ORBIC® JOY prior to powering on.
    To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert your old SIM card.
    Devices purchased from Verizon include a pre-installed SIM card.
  2. If powered off, press and hold the

     until the Orbic logo appears then release.

  3. From the 'Hi there' screen, select the appropriate language then tap
    START

  4. From the 'Phone activation' screen, tap
    Next
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the on-screen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  5. From the 'Set Up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password, than tap

     to add a Wi-Fi network after setup is complete.

  6. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select one of the following:
    • Next
    • Dont' Copy
      If troubleshooting, choose this option and don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

  7. From the 'Sign in' screen, enter a Google™ email address then tap

     to add your Google account after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Google Services' screen, select the desired options then tap

  9. From the 'Set a PIN' screen, enter a PIN code then tap

    To set up a pattern or password, tap

  10. From the 'Access your Assistant with Hey Google' screen, tap
    I agree
     to set up Google Assistant.

     to set up later.
  11. From the 'Access your Assistant without unlocking your device' screen, tap
    I agree
     to allow Assistant without unlocking your screen.

    Skip
     to set up later.

  12. From the 'Anything else?' screen, tap any of the options to personalize your device or tap
    No thanks
     to continue setup.

  13. From the 'Verizon Services' screen, select the desired options to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap

  14. Review the info from the 'Verizon Cloud' screen then tap

  15. From the 'Ready to Go!' screen, tap
