TCL TAB Disney Edition - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your TCL TAB Disney Edition.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     (right edge, below the Volume buttons) until the TCL screen appears then release.
  2. From the 'WELCOME' screen, select the appropriate language then tap
    GET STARTED

  3. To continue, review the Terms and Conditions then tap
    ACCEPT AND CONTINUE
    .
    To review the Privacy policy or Terms of Service documents, tap the appropriate link.

  4. From the 'Tablet Activation' screen, tap
    NEXT
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the on-screen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new tablet on an existing phone number, ensure the old device is powered off.

  5. From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network and enter the password, tap
    CONNECT
     then tap
    Next
    .

    Skip
     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  6. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, tap
    Next
     then follow the on-screen options.
    If you'd like a fresh start, tap
    Don't copy
    .
    If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.
  7. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.

     to add a Google account after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the following switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap

    More
     to review additional services.
    • Back up to Google Drive
      This option doesn't appear if a Google account wasn't added in step 7.
    • Use location
    • Allow scanning
    • Send usage and diagnostic data

  9. From the 'Set screen lock' screen, enter a 4-digit PIN then tap

  10. From the 'Continue setup?' screen, tap

    Leave & get reminder
     to continue later.

  11. From the Access your Assistant with 'Hey Google' screen, read the info then tap
    I agree
    .

    Skip
     if you don't want to set up Google Assistant.

  12. From the 'Teach your Assistant to recognize your voice' screen, review the info then tap

     if you don't want to set up Voice Match.

  13. From the 'Access your Assistant without unlocking your device' screen, review the info then tap

     if you don't want to use the Assistant while your device is locked.

  14. From the 'Anything else?' screen, select any additional setup options then follow the on-screen instructions or tap

     to continue setup.
