Orbic Tab8 5G - Google Backup and Restore

Here's how to ensure your Gmail, contacts, apps, etc. are backed up on your Orbic Tab8 5G.
If you need to back up data (e.g., app data, SMS text messages, device settings, etc.) on your Orbic® Tab8 5G™ using your Google™ account, follow these step-by-step instructions.
Backups can't be restored from a higher Android™ version onto a phone with a lower Android version.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon

  3. Tap
    Advanced
    .
  4. Tap
    Backup
    .
  5. Tap the
    Back up to Google Drive
     switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    If turned off, existing backups are deleted from Google's servers.
  6. From the account field, ensure you list the appropriate account (email address).
    You must enable 'Back up to Google Drive'.
    1. To change accounts, tap
      Account
      .
    2. Tap the preferred account or tap Add account.
When a Google™ account is added to your phone, previous backups are restored. This can be done by adding an existing Google account to your already active phone or by signing in to the same Google account while setting up your new or reset phone.
