Windows 11 - Install App Updates

Here's how to update apps on your Windows 11 device.
  • Ensure the device is connected to a power source during the app update.
  • Using the Mobile Broadband connection to download an update impacts your data usage allowance and may result in additional charges. It's recommended to utilize a Wi-Fi connection, if available.
  • If your device isn't running Windows® 11, refer to the Windows 10 instructions.
  1. From the Windows desktop, navigate:
    Start Start icon
    Microsoft Store
    .
  2. Tap or click
    Library
     (lower-left).
  3. Tap or click
    Get updates
     (upper-right).
  4. If updates are available, tap or click
    Update all
    .

Turn on Automatic App Updates

  1. From the Windows desktop, navigate:
    Start Start icon
    Microsoft Store
    .
  2. Tap or click the
    Account icon
     (upper-right).
  3. Tap
    App settings
    .
  4. Tap or click the
    App updates switch
     Switch On icon to turn on or off Switch Off icon.
    Apps automatically update when connected to Wi-Fi.
