MOTO G PLAY (2021) - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your moto g play (2021).
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the moto logo appears then release.

  2. Select the appropriate language then tap
    START

  3. Ensure the appropriate mobile number is listed then tap
    Next

    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  4. Select a network then enter the password.

     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  5. If you'd like to restore your info from an old device, tap

  6. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one then tap

     to add your Google account after setup is complete.

  7. Review the Google Services info, tap any of the switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap

     (may require scrolling to the bottom).

  8. Enter a lock code then tap

     to set up a screen lock after setup is complete.

  9. From the 'Continue setup?' screen, tap

    If you choose
    Leave & get reminder
    , the setup reminder appears in your notification panel to complete later.

  10. From the 'Google Assistant' screen, tap

  11. From the 'Voice Match' screen, tap
    I agree
    to set up Voice Match.

    Skip
     to continue with the Setup Wizard.

    No thanks
     to finish setup.
