Kyocera DuraForce Ultra 5G UW - Set Up Face Recognition

Here's how to set up facial recognition to unlock the screen of your DuraForce Ultra 5G UW.
  • Facial recognition:
    • is an option for keeping the device screen from locking when looking at it.
    • can be used to unlock the device when it is locked and powered on.
    • is less secure than a PIN, pattern or password.
  • A screen lock must be active (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.). If necessary, refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  • If synced to a corporate exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon Security Face unlock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  3. Perform one of the following:
    • For first time setup:
      1. From the 'Unlock with your face' screen, review the disclaimer then tap
        Agree
        .
      2. Review the instructions then tap
        Start
        .
      3. Align your face within the circle then follow the on-screen prompts until the process is complete.
      4. Tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        DELETE FACE DATA
        .
      2. Read the disclaimer then tap
        DELETE
        .
