Here's how to ensure your Gmail, contacts, apps, etc. are backed up on your Galaxy A21.
If you need to backup your Gmail™ contacts, apps, etc., on your Galaxy A21 using Google™, follow these step-by-step instructions.
Backups can't be restored from a higher Android™ version onto a phone with a lower Android version.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accounts and backup
    .
  3. Tap
    Back up data
    .
  4. Tap the
    Backup by Google One switch
     to turn on Switch on icon.
    If turned off, existing backups are deleted from Google's servers.
  5. When turned on, ensure the appropriate account is listed in the 'Account' field.
    To change the backup account:
    1. Tap
      Account storage
      .
    2. Tap the preferred account.
When a Google account is added to your phone, previous backups are restored. This can be done by adding an existing Google account to your already active phone or by signing in to the same Google account while setting up your new or reset phone.
