Here's how to erase all data on the SD / memory card of your Galaxy S20+ 5G / Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.
This procedure erases all data on the SD / memory card. It's recommended to back up your data before formatting.
To perform the steps below, ensure the SD / memory card is inserted.
  1. Ensure that your smartphone isn't connected to a computer via the USB cable.
  2. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  3. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Battery and device care
    Storage

  4. Swipe left to change from Internal Storage to SD card.
  5. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  6. Tap
    Format
    .
  7. To continue, review the disclaimer then tap
    Format SD card
