Sonim XP8 - Restart in Safe Mode

Here's how to restart your Sonim XP8 into Safe Mode to help determine if an app is causing it to freeze, reset or run slowly.

An alternate method is available if the Sonim XP8® is unresponsive or won't power on.

Press and hold the

Power button

(left edge) until the 'options' menu appears on the screen then release.

Touch and hold

Power off

until the 'Restart in safe mode' prompt appears then release.

From the 'Reboot to safe mode' prompt, tap

to confirm.

Allow approximately 1 minute for the process to complete.

Upon restart, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
