Sonim XP8 - Manage Data Usage

Here's how to change the data usage cycle and set data warnings and / or limits on your Sonim XP8.

Data usage info provided by your Sonim XP8® may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon, refer to the My Verizon website.

To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.

Navigate:

Settings

Network & Internet

Mobile Network

Tap

Data usage

then tap the

Settings icon

to the right of the Billing cycle to do one of the following:

Set Mobile Data Limit:

Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or Mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).

Set data limit to turn on

If presented with a "Limiting data usage" prompt, review the message then tap

Tap Data limit
, enter the data usage limit level then tap

SET

Set Mobile Data Warning:

A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.

to turn on.

Tap

, enter the data usage warning level then tap

SET

Change Data Usage Cycle:

Tap

App data usage cycle

Select a billing cycle date then tap

SET

Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.

To view or limit individual app usage, refer to View / Restrict Data Usage by App.
