Alcatel Avalon™ V - Restart in Safe Mode

Here's how to restart your Avalon V into Safe Mode to help determine if an app is causing it to freeze, reset or run slowly.
Safe Mode puts your phone in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slowly.
An alternate method is available if the device can't be powered on or is unresponsive.
  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release.

  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release.
  3. To confirm, tap
    TURN ON SAFE MODE
    .
    This process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.
    Upon reboot, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
  4. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
