Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Here's how to factory / hard reset your Tab 4 8 PLUS if the screen freezes or app, audio or sync issues occur.

Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google™ account and all data including system data, app data and media.

Music, pictures and videos can be backed up to a computer.

Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.

From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

System

Reset options

Tap

Erase all data (factory data reset)

Review the info then tap

RESET TABLET

If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.

Tap

ERASE EVERYTHING

Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.

If applicable, set up your device. If troubleshooting third-party apps, disable the Automatic Restore option.
