Here's how to erase all data on the memory card of your Galaxy S10e / Galaxy S10 / Galaxy S10+.
Formatting permanently erases all data on the SD / memory card.
To perform the steps below, ensure the SD / memory card is inserted.
  1. Ensure that your smartphone isn't connected to a computer via the USB cable.
  2. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  3. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Battery and device care
    Storage
    .
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    Advanced
    .
  6. From the Portable storage section, select the name of the SD / memory card.
    The name varies depending upon the type of card used.
  7. Tap
    Format
    .
  8. To continue, review the disclaimer then tap
    Format SD card
    .
    Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
