Verizon Smart Family - Restart Restrictions After a 911 Call
Here's how to restart your Smart Family restrictions if they've been disabled due to a 911 call.
- When a child device dials 911, existing call restrictions are subsequently disabled and must be reset via the Verizon Smart Family™ app.
- To perform the steps below, you need to:
- ensure the Smart Family app is installed on the parent device.
- sign in using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
- ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing blocks, restrictions, limits, etc.
- Open the Verizon Smart Family parent app.
- From the '[Child] called 911...' prompt, tapTake action.
- TapEnable.
- TapOK.Previous limits and restrictions on calls are automatically restored.
