Here's how to remove a Gmail (Google) account from your Pixel 3 / 3 XL.
Removing then re-adding your Gmail account often fixes login and not receiving email issue.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    >
    Passwords & accounts
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate Gmail account.
  4. Tap
    Remove account
    .
  5. Tap
    Remove account
    to confirm.
