Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Galaxy Note9.

Configure Mobile Hotpot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu Icon (upper-right) then tap
    Configure Mobile Hotspot
    .
  5. Configure the any of the following.
    • Network name
    • Hide my phone
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Security
      • Open
      • WPA2 PSK
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Power saving mode
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Tap
      Save
       (lower-right).
