5G Home Internet - My Verizon app - Edit Device Nickname

Here's how to rename the devices for the 5G Home via the My Verizon app.
  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
    If you're not able to access the My Verizon app, you can also visit the My Verizon website to manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).
  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
     My Verizon App icon.
  2. Tap the
    Account tab
     (at the bottom).
    If prompted, enter your password, fingerprint or Face ID.
  3. If necessary, tap the 'Home' or '5G Home' tab (at the top).
    Depending on your account services, the tabs displayed may vary.
  4. Tap
    Manage 5G Home
    .
  5. Tap
    Connected Devices
    .
  6. From the 'X smart device(s) is currently connected' section, select the appropriate device.
    May require scrolling down.
  7. Tap the
    Internet access switch
     to turn it off Switch off then tap
    Edit device nickname
    .
  8. Enter the appropriate name in the
    Device nickname field
     then tap
    Save
    .
