Here's how to turn on one-handed operations on your Galaxy Note8.
  • Enabling one-handed operation adjusts screen size and layout for easy controlling of the device with one hand.
  • For first-time setup, hold device in one hand then quickly slide thumb from the edge of the screen to the middle and back.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Advanced features
    Motions and gestures

  3. Tap
    One-handed mode
    .
  4. Tap the
    One-handed mode switch
     (upper-right) to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  5. When on, select the desired option from the 'Reduce screen size section by using' section (e.g., Gesture, Button).
