Samsung Galaxy Note8 - Manage Screen Lock Settings

Here's how to configure the screen lock settings for your Galaxy Note8.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen
    .
  3. From the Phone security section, tap
    Secure lock settings
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  4. Configure any of the following:
    Depending upon the screen lock type, the options presented may vary.
    • Lock automatically (e.g., Immediately, 5 seconds, etc.)
    • Tap any of the following to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon :
      • Lock instantly with power key
      • Auto factory reset
      • Lock network and security
      • Show Lockdown option
