Samsung Galaxy Note8 - Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Here's how to move files from internal storage on your Galaxy Note8 to an SD / memory card.

To perform the steps below, an SD / memory Card must be inserted.

From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.

Navigate:

My Files

Select a category (e.g., Images, Audio, etc.) from the Categories section.

If applicable, select the directory/folder that contains the file(s).

Touch and hold the file you want to move.

Select (check) the desired file(s).

To select all filers, tap

All

(upper-left).

Tap

Move

(lower-left).

Tap the

Back icon

to return to the My Files main screen.

Tap

SD Card

If necessary, navigate to the appropriate directory (to move the files to).

Tap

Move here

(lower-right).
