Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Remove Gmail™ Account

Removing then re-adding a Gmail account on your Galaxy S8 / S8+ often fixes email issues.
Frequent account syncing can reduce battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accounts and backup
    Accounts
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate personal email account.
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  4. Tap the
    Remove Account
    .
  5. Tap
    Remove Account
     to confirm.
