Apple iPhone - Delete Messages

Here's how to delete a text message from your iPhone.

The following steps apply to when an iMessage® is sent from your Apple® iPhone®. The iMessage requires a data or Wi-Fi connection.

When a message is sent, the type is indicated by differing colors.

From a Home screen, tap the

Messages icon Messages app

To delete a single conversation, swipe left on the conversation that you want to delete.

To delete more than one conversation:

Tap

Edit

(prior to selecting a conversation).

Tap

Select Messages

Tap the desired conversations then tap

Delete

(lower-right).

Tap the

Trashcan icon

Tap

Delete
