Apple iPhone - Activate Personal Hotspot

Here's how to set up or activate the hotspot on your iPhone for use as an internet / Wi-Fi connection.

Follow these instructions to use you Apple® iPhone® as an internet / Wi-Fi connection.

You may need to add a Mobile Hotspot service if your plan doesn't include the mobile hotspot option.

For USB tethering, iTunes must be installed.

From a Home screen, tap

If an app isn't available on your Home screen, swipe left to access the App Library.

If you're already set up, Personal Hotspot appears as an option on the main settings screen.

Set Up Personal Hotspot

If you're prompted to set up the personal hotspot on your account, visit My Verizon app, My Verizon online or contact us to make the necessary plan / add-on change.

Only the Account Owner or Account Manager can make plan changes / add the hotspot service via the My Verizon app.
