Verizon Family Safeguards & Controls are easy to use, and many are already included in your plan. There are also a few that you can purchase for some additional muscle when you may need it the most. As a parent you know what's best for your kids. With Verizon FamilyBase you can see how your kids are using their phones and set limits and locks to help them learn responsible phone use. This includes tracking who they text, call, and even the apps they utilize. You can prevent texts or calls during bedtime, dinner, or school hours. You even have the ability to lock your kid's phone at any time or set scheduled times it can be used. Don't worry; you can reach your kids even if restrictions are in place. You can also add always trusted or always block contacts to control who your kids can connect with. For safety's sake your kids can always dial 911 even during restricted times.
FamilyBase includes a one month FREE trial, after that you pay only $4.99 per month, and that covers all the lines on your Verizon Wireless account.
Verizon's Content Filters service helps protect your family by giving you the ability to set age appropriate filter settings to control the content your kids can view on their wireless devices. Content Filters has three rating tiers, ages seven plus, thirteen plus, and seventeen plus. In short you can feel good knowing your kids are not accessing content you deem inappropriate.
Even with the content filters, you might want to limit the types of services each phone can access. To do this, we offer Service Blocks at no additional charge, that enable you to block certain services like Picture or Video Messaging, Ring Back Tones and other app purchases.
You can also take control by using the Internet Spam Blocking feature. At no additional charge, you can block up to 15 email addresses, websites or text names.
For a small monthly fee Verizon Family Locator gives you the peace of mind that comes with being able to locate your loved ones right from your mobile phone or computer. The service allows you to schedule notifications that tell you where family members with Family Locator capable devices are located on certain days and times plus you can even get notified when family members leave or arrive at their destination.
