Apple iPad - Reset All Settings

If your Apple iPad crashes, resets or runs slow, or apps freeze or reset the device, view this.
Restoring your device to default settings helps when the device crashes and resets itself or when apps freeze / hang or reset the device.
The following are restored to default values (personal data is not affected):
  • Ringtones
  • Sound settings
  • Display settings
  1. From a Home screen on your Apple® iPad®, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    General
    Transfer or Reset iPad
    Reset
    .
    If unavailable, navigate:
    Settings
    General
    Reset
    .
  2. Tap
    Reset All Settings
    .
    If presented, enter the passcode.
  3. Tap
    Reset
     to confirm.
  4. Tap
    Reset
     to confirm.
    Allow several minutes for the reset and reboot processes to complete.
