Apple iPad - Fetch New Data

Here's how to adjust how often your iPad checks for new email.
Fetch New Data is a feature that allows the user to select how often the device checks for new email. Push is a feature that's only available with certain email accounts that automatically push email to the device.
Push requires more power and may have an effect on battery life.
  1. From a Home screen on your Apple® iPad®, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Mail
    Accounts
    .
    If unavailable, navigate:
    Settings
    Passwords & Accounts
    .
  2. Tap
    Fetch New Data
    .
  3. Tap the
    Push switch
     to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
  4. Tap an email account.
  5. Select the schedule option then tap
    Back
     (upper-left).
    The schedule option is selected when a checkmark is present.
    • Push
    • Fetch
    • Manual
  6. Select the desired Fetch setting.

    • Automatically
    • Manually
    • Hourly
    • Every 30 Minutes
    • Every 15 Minutes
