Apple iPad - Add a Wi-Fi Network

Here's how to connect your iPad to a Wi-Fi network.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen on your iPad, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Wi-Fi
    .
  2. Ensure that the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is on On switch icon.
  3. Tap the preferred network.
    If the preferred network is not listed, it can be added manually.
  4. If prompted, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Join
     (upper-right).

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen on your iPad, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Wi-Fi
    .
  2. Ensure that the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is on On switch icon.
  3. Tap
    Other
    .
  4. Enter the appropriate network name into the 'Name' field.
  5. Tap
    Security
     then select the appropriate security option (e.g., WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.).
  6. Tap
    Other Network
     (upper-left).
  7. Enter the password into the 'Password' field.
  8. Tap
    Join
     (upper-right).
