Here's how to adjust screen brightness and other display settings (e.g., Screen timeout, Display size, etc.) for your Pixel 8 / 8 Pro.

Adjust Brightness Settings

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Display
    .
  3. Tap
    Brightness level
     then adjust the slider as desired.
  4. Tap the
    Adaptive brightness switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    When turned on, this setting optimizes the brightness level for available light.

Adjust Display / Font Settings

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Display
    .
  3. Tap
    Screen timeout
     then select an option (e.g., 30 seconds, 2 minutes, etc.).
  4. Tap the
    Back arrow icon
     Back navigation icon(upper-left).
  5. Tap
    Display size and text
     then adjust the slider as desired for the following:
    • Font size
    • Display size
