Apple iPhone - Enable / Disable Live Voicemail

Here's how to verify your Live Voicemail is on or off on your iPhone.

Live Voicemail is enabled by default on your Apple® iPhone®.

Disable Live Voicemail if you need to utilize any of the following services:

Conditional Call Forwarding (*71)

Dialing *86 (*VM)

Voicemail to text for iPhone (premium subscription)

One Talk (Hunt Group)

Blocked Voicemail Feature

Live Voicemail allows you to view a real-time transcription of the message someone is leaving you as they speak.

This feature is only available on iOS 17 or later.

From a Home screen, navigate:

Settings

Phone

If an app isn't available on your Home screen, swipe left to access the App Library.

Tap

Live Voicemail

then tap the

Live Voicemail switch

to turn on Switch On

or off
