TCL TAB Disney Edition 2 - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout, etc.) on your TCL TAB Disney Edition 2.

Set Up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  5. From the Configure Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as preferred:
    • Network name (SSID)
      The network name can be hidden by tapping
      Hide my device
       to turn on or off.
    • Security
      • WPA2-Personal
      • None
    • Maximum connections
      Use the dropdown menu to select 1-10 users.
    • Select AP Band
      Use the dropdown menu to select 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Band.
  6. Tap
    SAVE
     (lower-right).

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.

    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
  4. Tap
    Timeout settings
    .
  5. Select an option (Never, 5 minutes, etc.).
