Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Galaxy Z Fold5.

Configure Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Configure any of the following:
    • Network name
    • Band
      This option can be set to the following:
      • 2.4 GHz
      • 5 GHz preferred
    • Security
      This option can be set to the following:
      • Open
      • Enhanced Open
      • WPA2-Personal
      • WPA2/WPA3-Personal
      • WPA3-Personal
  5. Tap
    Save
     (lower-right).

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:

    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Advanced
    .
  5. Tap
    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select the preferred option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.).
  6. Tap
    Save
     (lower-right).
