KYOCERA DuraForce PRO 3 - Set Up Face Recognition

Here's how to set up a facial recognition scan to access your DuraForce PRO 3.
  • Facial recognition is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For optimal performance, ensure you are indoors or away from direct sunlight.
  • If synced to a corporate Exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security
    Device lock
    .
  3. Tap
    Face & Fingerprint Unlock
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
    If screen lock isn't set, select an option:
    • Pattern-Face-Fingerprint
    • PIN-Face-Fingerprint
    • Password-Face-Fingerprint
    If necessary, refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. Tap
    Face Unlock
    .
  6. Perform one of the following:
    • For first time setup:
      1. Review the info then tap
        I agree
        .
        May require scrolling.
      2. Review the info then tap
        Start
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed on-screen.
      4. From the 'All set, looking good!' screen, tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the 'Face Unlock' menu, tap
        Delete face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        DELETE
        .
