TCL 40 XE 5G - Manage Do Not Disturb Settings

Here's how to check Do Not Disturb settings if your TCL 40 XE 5G isn't receiving calls or alerts for texts and email.
  • The Do Not Disturb setting allows sound / vibration (for phone calls, messages, etc.) to be turned on or off as preferred.
  • Alarms are always considered priority interruptions.

Manage Exceptions

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Sound & vibration
    .
  3. Tap
    Do Not Disturb
    .
  4. Tap any of the following switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off:
    • Reminders
    • Events
    • Alarms
    • Repeat callers
  5. Tap
    Calls
    then select an option (e.g., From anyone, From contacts only, etc.).
  6. Tap the
    Back icon
     Back icon (upper-left).
  7. Tap
    Messages
     then select an option (e.g., From anyone, From contacts only, etc.).
  8. Tap the
    Back icon
     to return to the Exceptions screen.

Manage Do Not Disturb Schedules

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Sound & vibration
    .
  3. Tap
    Do Not Disturb
     then do one of the following:
    • Create a new schedule:
      1. Tap
        Add more
        .
      2. Select an option (e.g., Event rule, Time rule).
      3. Enter a schedule name (e.g., School, Work, etc.) then tap
        OK
        .
      4. The following options are available if 'Time' was selected.
      5. Tap
        Days
        , select the desired days of the week then tap
        DONE
        .
        Enabled when a checkmark is present.
      6. Tap
        Start time
        , select the desired time then tap
        OK
        .
      7. Tap
        End time
        , select the desired time then tap
        OK
        .
      8. Tap the
        Alarm can override end time switch
         to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    • To turn a schedule on or off, tap the
      schedule name
      .
      Enabled when the switch is turned on.
    • To delete a schedule, tap the
      Delete icon
       Delete icon (upper-right).
