TCL 40 XE 5G - Link / Unlink Contacts

Here's how to link or unlink duplicate contacts in your TCL 40 XE 5G.
The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail™Microsoft® Exchange, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error it can be separated back into individual contacts.

Link Contacts

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Tap
    Contacts
     Contacts icon.
  3. Tap a contact.
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    Link
    .
  6. Tap the contact to link.

Unlink Contacts

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Tap
    Contacts
     Contacts icon then tap a previously linked contact.
  3. Tap a contact.
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    View linked contacts
    .
  6. Tap
    UNLINK
    .
  7. If prompted, tap
    UNLINK
     again to confirm.
